Agathian Shelter

Agathians Shelter is a home for children located in Petaling Jaya. It is an orphanage home for 32 boys from the age of 3 to 17 years old. Agathians Shelter is a home to orphans, abandoned children, and children of single parents. This home is managed by 7 committee members who are all volunteers. These committee members have to share the cost equally if they do not raise enough money by the end of the month to support the children welfare.The home employs three full time staff as caretakers, and a volunteer administrator handles the day-to-day administration work.Agathians Shelter depends on public donations for its day to day cost. The funds are used to pay their rent, utilities, food, education and medical bills.
On another note, the children are not exempted from their school fees. The home need to raise funds and make sure they have enough money to enroll each children to school every year.

So these kids also have their own Christmas wish list but on a more important note, we would like to emphasize more on getting donations so that the kids can enrol for school. As we all know, putting 32 children to school is a huge amount of money. With just 7 members, it is absolutely impossible to raise that much money.

Although there are people who donated uniforms and stationery for them to go to school, but with no money to be enrolled..the uniforms and stationary would be useless. Especially now with technology, the kids are required to pay a COMPUTER FEE of RM50. So therefore, we are going all out to get as much donations as we can to help these children. Agathians Shelter has also agreed to give us a tax exemption receipt....a proper one..(not the one from the supermarket).

A personal friend of mine, Yi Vonn who is a hair stylist is kind enough to provide free hair cut for all the children so they have a new fresh look for New Year.

Shelter Home

Shelter home is located in P.J. They have many homes. One of the home that I frequently help is the one in P.J with 15 kids...from 5 till the age of 12. They are mostly orphans and just a few of them are abuse kids. So i choose this particular house is because the kids are very obedient and Shelter Home also takes care of these children very well. So we would like to take this opportunity to put up the wishes of these kids on our blog so that people can kindly fulfill their wishes and use just a small sum of their money and get these kids their presents.

Besides presents, the children will all be getting free hair cut from my friend, Yi Vonn who is a hair stylist. The date of our visit to the home is yet to be confirmed.

Attached below is their wish list. Feel free to join our visit before Christmas, and call me if you are able to buy them presents! The children will personally call and thank those who bought them their Christmas gift.

Compassion Home

Dear Friends,

I'm planning to do a charity at Compassion Home at the beginning, but there are 2 organizations helping them during Christmas and the companies are also buying the kids their Christmas wish list. So then i thought..why not we do something different..like a party for them. so a group of us are planning to get together and combine money to buy foods and drinks for the party. For example McD and Domino...food that they can't always eat. So any of my friends that want to join can let me know.
